JOB SUMMARY: The Intermediate Platform Systems Administrator designs and implements solutions using various server, storage and computing platforms. The Intermediate Platform Systems Administrator (Payroll) will support Time Management by managing, troubleshooting and resolving problems, ensure timely and accurate time data processing for the processing of Payroll and will be responsible to support the time management system. The Intermediate Platform Systems Administrator (Payroll) will also be a subject matter expert for the Time Management Use of this job family outside of centralized IT requires approval from the Chief Technology Officer.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manages the Time Clock Plus – time clocking system interface activities to the SAP Time Management system to ensure accurate creation of weekly time files for payroll processing.

2. Supports Time Management Services and Implementation teams as required to address incidents that are reported through the ticket inquiry system, or for new development requests.

3. Responds to work schedule change requests for all departments.

4. Controls the transfer of data from other SAP applications, such as the transfer of data from the SAP Cross-Application Time Sheet – CATS.

5. Ensures that time data is processed accurately and timely and addresses payroll concerns resulting from SAP time system entries or changes to entries.

6. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, relevant work experience of four years in addition to the minimum experience requirement of 2 years.

WORK EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years

TYPE OF SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION: SAP Required, Microsoft Office; TCP preferred. Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier), Uses professional concepts; applies professional standards and company policies to resolve routine issues. Skill level is still developing towards journey-level contributor, but has solid foundation in many of the critical IT competencies needed to perform the job. Works to complete primary certifications. Over time, works from learning one technology/language/application (e.g., SAP), method, and approach to being fully versed on all including emerging technologies, methods, and design considerations related to payroll.

LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisory or direct people management responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance,
technical advice and training to staff. Microsoft Office Suite

WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT/BUDGET AUTHORITY: Work involves the application of moderately complex procedures and tasks that are quite varied. Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate of available resources. Ongoing supervision is provided on an "as needed" basis. No budget development activity is required.

PROBLEM SOLVING: Decisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude, but are still subject to approval. Job is occasionally expected to recommend new solutions to problems and improve existingmethods or generate new ideas.

IMPACT OF DECISIONS: Decisions have minor, small and possibly incremental impact on the department or facility. Errors are usually discovered in succeeding operations where most of the work is verified or checked and is normally confined to a single department or phase of the organizational activities resulting in brief inconvenience.

COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONS: Collaborate and solve problems – works with others to resolve problems, clarify or interpret complex
information/policies, and provide initial screening/negotiations without approval authority. Interactions are typically with customers, senior level professional staff, and managers.

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS: Responds promptly and accurately to complaints, inquiries and requests for information and coordinates appropriate follow-up. May handle escalated issues passed on from co-workers or subordinates.

WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Work involves some exposure to moderate risk of accident and requires following basic safety precautions. Ability to carry and/or lift less than 15 pounds. This position is expected to be goal and customer service focused. During times of emergencies, outages
and project planned work, employees are expected to be on call and available until the event is addressed. During system conversions, extra effort may be required in order to ensure the roll out of the system is successful.
