JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, oversees and coordinates all activity as it relates to a fleet management system, using SAP plant maintenance and TRAK fuel system functionality.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Prepares, analyzes and provides fleet ad hoc reports to management. Reviews and analyzes data to ensure accuracy; determines best practices and business process changes that may affect the organization.
  2. Reviews and addresses data entry and software problems in fuel system (TRAK). Resolves issues containing data and mileage discrepancies. Researches, analyzes and coordinates with TRAK systems analysts and programmers to resolve user entry and system problems.
  3. Maintains a fleet preventive maintenance program in the SAP environment. Determines type of maintenance plan(s) to create in the plant maintenance environment, based on vehicle and equipment type. Creates and tracks changes on PM reports to ensure they are performed in a timely manner. Contacts department supervisors or leaders when PMs are performed out of acceptable date range.
  4. Resolves user issues as they relate to SAP and TRAK. Consults with SAP specialists, transportation personnel or TRAK programmers to obtain information to resolve issues.
  5. Prepares, develops business processes, and trains support staff using screenshots, flowcharts, and hands-on system programs. Under the supervision of the manger of Fleet Operations, uses Microsoft Visio to create business processes, organizational and other flow charts.
  6. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Some College

WORK EXPERIENCE: 3 to 5 years

TYPE OF SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION: SAP, Microsoft Office Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier)

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisory or direct people management responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice and training to staff.

WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT: Work involves the application of moderately complex procedures and tasks that are quite varied. Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate of available resources. Ongoing supervision is provided on an "as needed" basis.

BUDGET AUTHORITY: Compiles and organizes data and figures.

PROBLEM SOLVING: Decisions are made on routine matters affecting few individuals and usually within the confines of the job's own department. Specific job activities and results are typically reviewed closely. There are limited requirements for developing new ideas or changes in methods, procedures or services.

IMPACT OF DECISIONS: Decisions have minor, small and possibly incremental impact on the department or facility. Errors are usually discovered in succeeding operations where most of the work is verified or checked and is normally confined to a single department or phase of the organizational activities resulting in brief inconvenience.

COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONS: Information sharing - gives and receives information such as options, technical direction, instructions and reporting results. Interactions are mostly with customers, own supervisor and coworkers in own and other departments.

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS: Takes routine or required customer actions to meet customer needs. Responds promptly and accurately to customer complaints, inquiries and requests for information and coordinates appropriate follow-up. May handle escalated issues passed on from coworkers or subordinates.

WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Work involves some exposure to moderate risk of accident and requires following basic safety precautions. Ability to carry and/or lift less than 15 pounds.
